House & Contents Insurance

A Listed Events House & Contents policy covers you for things like*: 

Your house (building, garage, fences, built-in appliances) and contents inside your house against damage or loss caused by events such as storm, fire, flood, earthquake, malicious damage, theft and accidental breakage of glass.

New for old replacement should your items require replacing if they are stolen or damaged.

Temporary accommodation if your house can’t be lived in due to an insured event, temporary accommodation will be provided for you and your pets.

Legal liability cover – cover for injury to other people or damage to their property while on your premises (up to $20 million).

Debris removal – cover for removal of debris if your house, or contents, are damaged or destroyed by an insured event.

Moving house? Your contents are covered for up to 30 days at both your old and new house.

Environmental upgrades – if your house is being rebuilt after a total loss claim, cover includes adding environmental improvements that weren’t there before, such as solar panels and rainwater tanks.

By upgrading your House and Contents policy to include the below optional covers, you could be covered for things like: 

Accidental Damage – You will be covered for accidental damage to your Building and Contents. This will also cover your Contents for accidental damage anywhere in Australia for up to 90 continuous days.

Motor Burnout cover is automatically included when this optional cover is selected.

Motor Burnout Cover – You will be covered if an electrical current damaged your household electrical motors in appliances such as refrigerators, freezers or washing machines.

Cover is automatically included if you have selected to include Accidental Damage.

Portable Contents Cover – You will be covered for loss or damage to your portable contents caused by theft or accidental damage Worldwide. (Note: cover outside Australia limited to 120 continuous days).
